The Catch a Trade® Scholarship Program was established to assist highly motivated Minnesota residents who have faced challenges in life and learned from them, and are now enrolling in post–secondary education. Scholarships are offered for full–time study at a public, accredited Minnesota State technical college/trade school. We have 15 new scholarships available each year. All scholarships are renewable, up to $11,000 per year, up to two years.

We welcome your application if:

• You have faced challenges in your life and learned from them;
• You are highly motivated and know why you want an education in the skilled trades; 
• You will study HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, construction/construction management, electrical or welding; 
• You are a MN Resident as defined by your public (not private) technical college or trade school in Minnesota; 
• Your high school GPA was 2.0 or higher;
• Your family’s household income shows significant financial stress/challenges in paying for your education. Award amount will be determined after consideration of all sources of financial aid. 

This scholarship program is administered by XX. XX is a cloud–based platform designed to develop and administer scholarship and grant programs. Awards are given without regard to religion, creed, sexual orientation, gender or disability. Visit XX every January for the next year’s program guidelines and application.
